The Prabhudesai Clinic was designed for a practicing doctor couple- Cardio-diabetologist and an Ophthalmologist.
The project was an interesting planning exercise to successfully accommodate the numerous functional spaces that compliment both practices. It was an exploration of various material combinations and ideas to maximize the space available.
Constrained by the height of the space given to us, the design is dictated by a lot of vertical lines to play with the illusion and visually expand the space.
The materials glass and wood also play a role in bringing light into the spaces that would otherwise remain dark, and creates a sense of familiarity and ease in a clinical environment
